Advanced Inpatient Care and ICU Oversight
When patients are acutely ill, staying close to home matters. Thanks to MUSC’s Hospitlaist and TeleICU
program, our admitted patients and ICU is overseen remotely by board-certified critical care physicians who guide treatment plans in real time. Our dedicated HRMC staff implement these expert strategies with precision and compassion, ensuring continuity of care and peace of mind for families.
MUSC
radiologists now oversee HRMC’s imaging department, providing advanced testing, biopsies, and in-depth diagnostic services. This collaboration ensures our patients receive timely, accurate results using the latest technology—without leaving the region.
Through our oncology program, patients can now receive care from Hollings Cancer Center Oncologist Dr. Steven Akman right here on our campus. In addition, chemotherapy and infusion treatments are available in our on-site infusion clinic—eliminating the need for travel and helping patients conserve their time and energy during one of the most critical fights of their lives.
