Nursing Department
Nursing Staff At HRMC
The Nursing staff makes up the largest department at
HRMC. The Nursing department is comprised of Registered and Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks. The Nursing staff at
HRMC works very closely with our patients and their physicians, recognizing that every patient needs specialized care. Each patient is provided with "best practice" professional care in a respectful and compassionate way by the Nursing staff. The role of the Nursing staff at
HRMC, as members of the care team, is to demonstrate their medical skills and professionalism, while also ensuring personalized care for patients and their loved ones. The staff will do everything necessary to make time spent in the hospital as pleasant as possible and provide comfort to patients in need.
Nursing Duties
Nursing services for patients include the planning and implementation of care during illness and rehabilitation, which encompasses the physical, mental, and social aspects of life as they affect health, illness, disability, and dying.
Nursing Skills
Along with the medical skills required of a nurse, knowledge of humanitarian skills including the physical, social, and medical sciences, are also required. Nurses ensure the active involvement of the individual and his or her family and friends, as appropriate, in all aspects of health care and encourage self-reliance and self-determination. Nurses also work as partners with members of other professions and occupations involved in providing health and related service.
HRMC is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with certified professionals in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Our licensed Registered and Practical Nurses have received advanced critical care training and are continuing to receive ongoing specialized training and certifications within their field of expertise.
